Painted with oils, the serpent guards the impressive U-Mong temple. "I was inspired to paint this piece when I ran into a sculpture of Naga in the legendary U-Mong temple," says Noom. "The passing of time has worn it a bit, yet it makes its beauty incomparable. The sculptors who made it worked in accordance with their belief and faith in Buddha. There is something magical in it."
