I define a composition as pure instinct, and I can`t really classify my creative impulses as fitting within one school of painting. "My canvases seek to reconstruct a past era, creating spaces and characters that are more imaginary than real. Brazil is an endless font of inspiration: tropical nature stimulates the imagination, the sounds, the colors, the uncommon flavors, the colonial architecture of neighborhoods and antique theaters emerge from a fantastic world that can be seen when we close our eyes. "My images contrast with the consumerist modernity that has so transformed the Brazilian landscape; they are dense and charged with poetry and innocence. They are fragments of an ideal world, windows of fantasy." Vittore Canone`s work has been exhibited consistently throughout Brazil, as well as in Spain and Italy.
