Handmade by Eric Nii Addy Jr. Born April 27, 1977, Eric Nii Addy graduated from the university with a degree in art. During his college years, between 1996 and 1998, he undertook courses in sculpting at the Applied Arts Workshop. He trained as a sculptor under the master George Annan. His name, Nii, means "Chief." According to his mother, Nii Addy displayed great artistic gifts at a very young age. It happened like this. He once saw a piglet and asked his mama what it was. When she told him that it was a pig`s kid, he drew it with a piece of chalk on a bench. His rendition, though transient, was so fascinating that his parents had to call others to come and witness for themselves what their little boy child had accomplished.
